Yes. Plantation sector wages are governed by separate notifications and revised periodically, so the wage base and applicable rates must be confirmed against the current notification rather than carried forward from a previous year.
We run a hospital with shift staff. Is that different?
It affects working hours, overtime and record-keeping more than it affects PF or ESI eligibility. Shift rosters, overtime registers and leave records come under closer scrutiny during inspections in healthcare establishments.
